Pros:
- Its a 6 gear Trueno.
- A good all-rounder car.
- Command it and it will follow you. Turns like a dream.
- I feel a lot more stable using the S2K than my 86 at times.
- Sexy.
Cons:
- Torque. Also sluggish accel at low RPMs when you gear change.
- Not very wall-ram-friendly
- Also since its a 6 gear car, there are more chances to botch up gear changes (like shifting up while turning)
- Very very slippery on wet.

AE86 Trueno (Racing Engine)

Pros:

- Its not top car for nothing.
- Godly acceleration.
- Also turns really well
- Great anywhere
- Rapes the wall like it wants a death warrant (sorry, lame joke)

Cons:

- Slippery car
- You have to keep the butt in line because it always swings out.
- Startup sucks.

RX7 FD

Pros:

- Rotary. 'Nuff said.
- Great battle car.
- Can go everywhere AND wet.
- Great Torque. Accels really fast even after gear change or wall taps.
- Sexy.
Cons:
- I find this car very heavy.
- Sometimes hard to use.
- Doesnt turn as well as Trueno and S2K. Which means different timing on turning (or at least more effort on your part)

PROS:
- G-T-R!!!
- fast start up.
- high top speed.
- accelerating monster
- rather average on most courses.
CONS:
- totally dies on akina wet... slids out so much you have to take turns in 2nd or 3rd gear or ram inside wall or something.
- understeer... this car understeers... lol.
- body kits etc are all ugly for this car.

- performs above average on almost every course
- 148km 5th gear domination on tsukuba inbound

~Has a modern and buff look to it that's worthy of a wild Subaru rally machine, though the front end design looks eerily similar to certain Chevrolet cars.
~It's size makes it excellent for blocking.
~Great start up as is to be expected of 6-speeds, and you can go from 1st~4th gear within seconds at FT, making it very TA-friendly.
~Lag will disappear when mechanical and electronic tunes are balanced equally.
~Speed recovery from penalty is great as is, Add PC to the mix and it'll work like a dream.
~Handles more like an FR than an AWD, thanks to the DCCD system incorporated to it. Delicate steering inputs, detailed pedal-work and body + suspension tunes are required to prevent over/understeer during cornering, but you have the option of using drift or grip-style driving (though it seems more inclined to drift.).
~You'll hear an incessant beeping sound upon redlining, so you can just listen and shift instead of stealing a peek at the tachometer.
~As usual, the EJ20 Flat-4 Boxermotor sounds ferocious, though as Shale said, the GC8V sounds more like the real one.

~Definitely not a beginner's AWD car. If you're expecting AWD stability without technique to back it up, then this car will make you cry, especially in the rain.
~Rain + Multiple Sharp Corners = One hell of a struggle. Irohazaka DH/Reverse wet will be a total faux pas for total greenhorns.
~Wall-hugging kills the handling a whole lot.
~A certain corner in Tsukuba clips it from the back if you try to corner at high speeds.
~It's only real home course is Akina Lake, where you can use it's explosive power to the fullest. Any other course would require experience and technique to manage.
~The solitary ground effects kit available to it makes it look too much like a Lancer Evolution, which won't do since they're WRC rivals.

Cons :
- Lack of power compared to cars with bigger engine house..
- Can never drift too much (lose speed instantly)
- needs to keep at -30m till -40m to catch up in battles..
- Need loads of training for boost off battles
- 5th gear is nonsense.. stick to 4th gear whole course and only 5th if the car is desperate..

Preety nice acceleration in lower gears

It's quite stable... only suffered minor understeer in Akina and Myogi

You can rev pass the redline a little, [6000 redline, max rev is at around 6300]
Cons:
Struggling for grip in some corners
Tail sliding too violent, Iroh is the killer map
Weak 4th gear [only 142 in Tsukuba]
Doesn't do well in wet maps too...
Bus engine sound after muffler conversion... >.<

Pros
--still a beginner-friendly car to say the least
--as expected in a 4WD, not too difficult to control when sliding out
--well-balanced everywhere, not too strong but not too weak either
--looks good even if it remains stock in terms of external appearance
--good turning ability despite being a 4WD (almost like an FR)

Cons
--like in v3, will most likely lose out to 6-gear cars off the line
--seems to have had more understeer unlike in v3
--2nd gear seems to be very laggy even if redlined
--5th gear can be a bit problematic after shifting up from 4th, esp. in tsukuba's high-speed twisty section
--last two gears take a bit of time to rev up
--almost non-existent BOV sound when doing PC with it

and there u have it the advantages of some of the popular cars in IDAS4. Which one is ur pick? My advice is choose which one u like most and just learn to get use to it. I am now having a hard time getting use to my s2000, is like a monster that is hard to tame compare to the FD3S. see u guys later.

After playing ID from version 2 until now, I have discovered that there are so much fun while playing racing games especially IDAS4. Many of the youngster are willing to spend their spare time to race againts their friends in the arcade.

There is much more fun rather than you went out with your girlfriends and spend money on dinner with her. We have found that both entertainment have equally emotional fun as when you play IDAS4  with your
favourite car been full tuned and then when the time you are going to race againts your opponent, you will 
need to be "Pro"enough. What I'm mean by "Pro" here is you will need to know how to modified your car and of course get to know you car weaknesses. Then, for sure you will need to overcome all this by all the skill you have learn.

It is important for  you to focus you mind and be familiar with the route you wish to race againts the others. In this case, you car will be totally commanded by you. Here, the car will likely be  symbolize as you yourself, while the route that you have chosen will be likely symbolize your dream girlfriend that both of you will fight for it (LOVE) . Of course, the title of the winner will always be hold by the one with more "Pro" skilled.

So, guys you do really need to polished up your driving skills before you been shamed by others in front of your girlfriends!

 

TaKUMi FAStEsT iN GuNMa ReAL SToRY

I believe not many people do really realized what the real reason that Takumi can be so familiar and drive so fast at Mt. Akina DownHill. Do you ever wonder of it?

Now let me tell you the real story behind the scene. Actually as we know that Takumi used to deliver tofu everyday before the dawn at Mt. Akina and he was just a schoolboy during that time so he and Itsuki will not afford to buy their "dream" car as the prerequisite as a downhillracer.

One day as usual, Takumi drove up to Mt. Akina and during the time at 4am there is impossible to have cars go up to Mt. Akina except Takumi.At that time, Takumi was still daydreaming that he could drive his own car to fetch his girlfriend to the beach every weekends beside begging his father to lend him the old AE86. Suddenly there came a loud revs sound from behind and in just a flash a Black coloured GTR32 passed by Takumi's car at Mt. Akina. From this on, Takumi mind is clear that he is really eager for a new car so he just try to drive faster and get nearer to the R32. After that, he could able to see the R32 "plate number" and when he got the number in his mind he just think of telling Itsuki to share their money to buy some lottery. So, he was motivated and without hesitate he is able to drive faster and pass over the R32 just at the first hairpin corner and go forth to home happily as  he wish to let Itsuki know about his idea on how to earn money faster rather than only work part time at petrol station every day and night just to earn a bit..

Since that night on, everytime there is a car pass by Takumi at Mt. Akina, he will drive faster and faster just to get his rival's car plate number. Unforutnately, this news been heard from Takumi's Father (Bunta) and consequently Takumi get scolded and wacked by his father for been so childish to waste so much money to buy lottery instead of saving it for him to study abroad in the future.

So, this is the end of the story and I hope it really taught you all a lesson not to waste your parent's money just in playing IDAS4 at arcade with your friends everyday.

Ever wonder y we chose IDAS 4?

All the youngster outhere should have noticed that this game is much more interesting than any other games the arcade. You can pick your favourite car and earn points for the modification of each part of your car. Overall it's a nice games and I found that playing this game is likely an effective way to release our tension and tempered. Hehe, you will regret if you don't try it once in your life time. Just be one of the IDAS 4 fans now and form your own team.

Hope you all can enjoy while racing at the arcade everyweekends and most likely you will be able to regain your pride when its time to have the chance to race against with all the "IDAS 4 ProMonster" in your our country. Aren't you dare to Challenge with Them!!!

Haha!!!! Im the owner of the Black-mica Subaru Impreza (GC8). This is my favourite car and also my dream car.Here, start from today. I'm will be sharing all my Initial D Arcade Fastest Racing Theories with all the IDAS 4 fans.

Have you guys still remember that in the animation Takumi had ever said that he felt like sitting in a UFO's saucer while his first drive in his father's new car.In IDAS 4, I'm named my GC8 as E2KI14 as it has its tales refer to one of the verse in the Bible (Book of Ezekiel 1:14) which phrased like this "The creatures sped back and forth like flashes of lightning. 

It's really amazing. I can feel my car is really fast whenever im drive it. Its bear a title of "Ghost" when race againts Takumi at Mount Akina. You won't ever believe it after you witness it.

 



Merry Cristmas and Happy New Year 2008 to our seremban pro and to everyone. Been browsing through the initial D girls and i find that 'Kylie' is much more attractive than Mako & Sayuki lol.I forgot her japan name. Anyway just with everyone to drive safe on the road, no id style driving in real life. See you guys next stage.

Today we have been Initial Ding for quite a huge number of rounds. Noting much to report just break my long time record in Tsukuba by a second and now in the top 200 world ranking. Its going to be a tough struggle to beat those guys in the top 200... but i'll do it! This are video that we took during todays time attack, i did a few mistake in my time attack and will be improving in due time!

IDAS4 Techs and Terms:

Wheel Lock / Super Understeer - This is the so-called "invisible wall" you encounter during that first time you have played Myogi, tried to make a full turn on that wide, wide road and suddenly your car simply stops turning and you slide directly to the outside wall.

To explain this, I want you to think of every hairpin as having a specific "speed limit". For example the 3rd wide hairpin of Myogi DH has a "speed limit" of 155Kph. It means that if you try to enter the curve at 155KPH or faster BAM! you hit the understeer. It happened because you were going faster than the "speed limit" for that hairpin so the game automatically deducts speed from you and also make your acceleration slower when you exit. This is the so-called "PENALTY". It probably was a way for the programmers to "discipline" us gamers and tell us the game is not that simple that you can just turn the wheel and you're done. Anyway, make an experiment and try to enter the said hairpin above at 150KPH... surprise! No understeer! I dont have to explain why. BUT you do not have to go slow all the time during entry because we have...

Penalty Cancel / PC - More effective if you use your left foot for the brake and right foot for the gas. Done by tapping the brake while lifting the gas a bit then go full throttle again. Very fast movement and your left foot must not linger on the brake.

This is the new "eraser" for the game. The newest exploitation of the game's programming so to speak. The Penalty Cancel got its name because it nullifies the "PENALTY" you recieve when you go too fast on a hairpin (See Wheel Lock). The Penalty Cancel "restarts" your acceleration and kills the lag brought about by getting Wheel Lock or hitting the wall. PC is usually done when your wheels are facing the right way (like in a straight way), when done while turning, the PC wont work properly meaning it will not help your acceleration go up faster like its supposed to do. However done while turning it makes your car a lot more slippery thus also why it was being called the new eraser. It has a different effect than just simply lifting the gas.

"OMFG!!! WHEN DO I DO IT?? IT SUXXORS!!!" : Usually PC is done AFTER a turn. Especially on the occasions you experience wheel lock. Its also a way to turn easier BEFORE a turn but not always.

The Wall Rape - Done by turning extra early on a hairpin to literally ram the inside wall. Done without braking or releasing gas.

Called the wall ram in Ver3, this is really significant in Irohazaka DH and reverse and really just used more often there (some use it for the V-turn in Akagi and first turn of consecutives too). Now Irohazaka is a special map in Ver4. This map is designed in a way that if you ram the inside railing you DO NOT lose speed. Even if your nose hits the outside wall you do not lose speed. Your acceleration will die but that is what PC is for. Now everybody thinks this is a BS way to play the game. Frankly, I dont like it that they reduced iro to this too but its there and its the fastest way to play iro. Either you use it or not. Also take note that even if you PC, you still have engine lag. But this is more apparent in the higher gears. So if you PC properly after a turn in Iro, your accel is jumpstarted and your earlier gears (ie: 2nd, 3rd, 4th) will be as normal.

IDAS4 Turn Strategies:

IDAS4 is a revolutionary game all in the ID series because of clear detachment to the physics we got used to in Ver 1, 2 and 3. Its simply a different game with different techs. Here are some ways for you to do the corners properly.

In-to-in line - this game introduced a new type of system that breaks off from all other IDAS series. Particularly it is much faster for you to come from the inside of the curve rather than feinting from out to in like we got used to. It is guaranteed to give you a better exit speed if done properly (eg: not hitting the inside wall on entry and not hitting the outside wall on exit <--- this doesnt apply to Iro. but only iro because in that map, the game is programmed that you do not experience speed loss when you ram the inside but you will experience speed loss if your BUTT hits the outside wall)

Drift Deceleration - This is a term I invented when I want to explain why I do not brake in IDAS4. The game is programmed in a way that when you turn, you automatically lose speed. People who have been playing long liken it to making sure there is less friction you have the more speed you get. So, when you do make a full turn (or even a half one), the game automatically decelerates your speed for you... meaning if done properly you do not have to brake at all because the game is doing it for you. Now you can still try to brake, but braking will lessen your speed at a very fast rate and you cannot maximize the fastest entry speed you can have for a hairpin.

5-in-4-out - I know what you're thinking. It sounds like the same tech used in Ver3. Actually it is, save for one distinct feature --- you dont brake. Using the Drift Deceleration theory above, the game automatically decelerates speed for you, downshift to your lower gear and smoothly exit (do a PC too to be safe).
